Simone wanted to create a beautiful picture book explaining what Hirschsprung’s disease is and how it hasn’t stopped her son Oscar from doing the things he loves to do.
While in hospital waiting for Oscar’s surgery, his parents would read to him every day. They dreamed of reading a book to him about what he was going through and that explained Hirschsprung’s disease.
Oscar’s parents wanted to create a book that can be shared to raise awareness about and educate people on Hirschsprung’s disease. A book that is uplifting and shows how a child with Hirschsprung’s disease can do all the same things other children can do.
