Oscar - Character
Oscar was born in 2018 with a rare bowel condition, Hirschsprung’s disease. Oscar underwent a lengthy pull through surgery at 13 days old. The years that followed have been filled with many hurdles but what we know for sure is that Hirschsprung's disease hasn’t stopped him.
Oscar understands that his bowel works differently to other children. He knows that when he was born he couldn’t poo and that an amazing surgical team saved his life.
Oscar loves to ride his bike, go swimming and play with his friends. Hirschsprung's doesn’t limit him, in fact it has made him the resilient and strong child he is today.
Oscar is filled with kindness, thoughtfulness and humour in all he does.
Oscar is UNSTOPPABLE!
